In Shadow Runner you first dash through a 2D obstacle course, your moves recorded by a phantom shadow. Once you finish, the shadow springs to life and retraces your exact path. Your task is to race alongside it and reach the end first. Succeed and you are thrown into another round, this time against a faster echo of yourself that improves with each victory. There are no checkpoints or power-ups, just a pure test of refining your run until you can squeeze out every split-second advantage. The simple arrow-key controls allow mid-air speed adjustments, giving you a slight edge if you learn the course. It is a short-loop challenge for players who enjoy self-competition and honing a perfect line.
