Shelter Dog Wouldn't Stop Growing, So the Vet Performed a DNA Test

Starting to Worry

The more Bee thought about it, the more she concluded that it was meant to be that Elvis flew onto her deck. He genuinely needed her, and although though she didn't know it at the time, she needed him too. Bee would have loved to keep him as a pet, but she also knew that Elvis was a wild bird and shouldn't be kept inside.

Bee started to worry about how Elvis's lack of socialization may effect him in the future. So, she felt she had to do something to aid him.

Helping Him Integrate

Bee finally determined that her main goal was to help Elvis get along with some of the other birds that flew about the trees outside her house. After all, her deck was a safe place for all types of tropical and exotic birds, and she knew that they would be the perfect way for Elvis to meet new people. And, happily, this choice worked out because Elvis seemed to like being around the other birds.

He would fly around with them and make noise, and Bee liked watching them do that. But at the end of the day, Elvis always went back home to Bee.

Patiently Waiting

Bee's heart swelled as she realized that Elvis was finally getting along with other birds of his type, but she was also a little frightened that he would just fly away one day and never come back. But it didn't happen at all. Elvis often flew away with his new companions, but he always thought of Bee's house as home. Even if her sliding glass door was locked, he would wait outside for her to let him in.

Bee was very delighted by this. She enjoyed that Elvis was acting like a bird, but she also loved how they cuddled at the end of the day.

Welcoming Him Home

In fact, having Elvis around was like having a kid. She would open the sliding doors every morning so he could go out for the day. Then, every morning, she would open the sliding door to let him in! He even grew to adore utilizing technologies while living with Bee. He enjoys nothing more than getting home and typing on the iPad with Bee.

But that's not all. Elvis loves to assist Bee put on her makeup when he's not playing on the iPad. He even tries to use it with his beak.

An Eyeshadow Lover

Elvis loves to be a part of every step of the beauty process, but he really enjoys it when she starts putting on her eyeliner. He'll sit next to her and affectionately kiss her face with his beak after dipping it in the powder. And even though Bee probably doesn't like how she looks after this makeup session, these times together merely make their friendship stronger.

Bee still worries if it's the appropriate thing to do to keep Elvis close to her, of course. But she knows that it's his choice in the end because he keeps coming back to her.

A Keen Singer

But more than anything else, Bee can sense that Elvis is quite happy when she's around. He not only nods his head when he's excited, but he also loves to sing. Every time they are together, he sings to her and tweets her songs. Also, Bee has filmed a lot of their encounters and his songs and shared them on social media so that everyone may see them.

Bee is very thrilled to see Elvis smiling and hear his music. She is also quite happy that he flew to her during the first painful moments of their encounter. He has even claimed a place in her house lately.
